Real time via online meeting platform Zoom.
No need to time feeds or wrestle baby into a car seat! It’s all accessible from the comfort & safety of your own home.
The course runs over a series of 5 weekly classes, 9.30am -10.30/11am.
There is plenty of time for a virtual cuppa and a chat, and feeding and settling baby. Small group size so you get individualised attention and can have all your questions answered.
This is a glimpse of what we will cover during the program: Ideal positioning for baby, asking baby if they are ready for massage and knowing when they have had enough, baby’s behavioural cues, how massage may assist with wind & colic, adapting massage for your growing child, parent relaxation, what oils to use.
What to Bring to Class
For safety, we always massage bub on the floor. It’s a good idea to wear comfortable clothes yourself. What you will need for class at home:
- comfortable spot on the floor for you and your baby
- portable device with camera that can run Zoom meeting program eg. laptop, tablet
a standard bed pillow or triangle pillow
a bath towel
a swaddle cloth, if baby is continuing to enjoy being wrapped
- 5 x weekly online class sessions
- Baby Massage Essentials Starter Kit (posted to participants): Illustrated class notes each week, Organic massage oil suitable for baby’s sensitive skin + surprise goodies.
- Private Facebook group to further connect with course participants.
- Ongoing support
All online sessions are password protected and locked once all attendees are logged into the platform.
What not to worry about
Something you need not worry about is baby crying or disturbing the class. Each baby is sure to express themselves via a cry at some stage during the 5 week course, it’s just what babies do. Babies also require nappy changes, feeding and comforting, so there is no need to feel uncomfortable about taking care of your baby’s needs or your know needs throughout the class.
If your baby is nappy or just isn’t up for massage at the time of class, that is totally ok. If you have a doll or teddy bear handy, you may choose to use this to go over the massage material during class time and then revisit the material with your baby at a later time.
